I know Ben, since secondary school time when we were still BB. He left earlier, but many years later we met again in Adelaide, and in Adelaide, Wesley, Ben, George and i formed the so called the best praise and worship team in the church then. Being the best drummer i ever know in my lifecircle, he is gifted in many ways. Its a nice thing to know him, humour, helpful and a good Christian. It is his big day with Lily, and i had the great opportunity to be the second cameraman on the big day. a big congratulation to them and may God bless this new couples! Cheers

i know Yvonne, back to the old secondary school days. She was a GB, and i was a BB. BB and GB never get along too well so therefore there are always some arguement between us everytime we met. However that makes an special friendship between us. We may not be the best friends of all, but certainly an interesting one! Its her big days, and i have the privilege to be invited to be one of her photographer on the day. That day probably is the most peaceful day between us for the last decade... haha. Babylens is one of my newest toys in photography. Recently i just bought a babylens composer, and the fun bit of this lens is it can be treated as a tilt lens, so in another word you can choose which part in a picture to be clear, and the rest all will be blurred out. It is fun, and there are still a lot to learn on this lens. Here i just share with you some of the very first batch of pictures that i took with my Babylens, i called it, Babylensing....

Pastor Elaine and Richard were the advisor for the MYF that i attended while i was studying in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. They are still one of the pastors which influenced me the most in my christian life as they taught me how to get closer to the world as a Christian, and to think outside the square when you face the traditional ways in MYF. Honestly I did raise my eyebrows when this she tried to change the way we operate the myf, but in the end, she proved to me that changes are necessary and are brilliant for the MYF. I did tried to replica her success here in Melbourne but its just too hard anyway.

Jolin, is their dear daughter and this is the first time she came Aus, saw the animals, the snow, the seas etc. Do hope they enjoyed their time here in Melbourne, and it is an honour to be able to spend time with them. I wish them a happy, revived and blessed ministry ahead. Cheers.

Last Sunday, after the morning prayer meeting, i spend sometimes roaming around the church, looking for something to shoot. I did a few close up shooting on things that we probably wont spend time normally to notice about, flowers, signs, berries, leaves, hymns etc. It was a pleasant experience to join them and be among with them for the past 2 months and it is just pity that i have to leave this church soon and move on for my work contract. This church will remain in my prayers, and i do wish them all the best and God bless them in their future path. Amen.

Sara is the first name that i get to know, beside pastors, in Eight Mile Plains Church, and this cute little girl is the daughter of hers. This pictures was taken one sunday after the sunday service. It was a bright sunny day, and the girl obviously is so excited and running around on the lawn. She was a little bit camera shy and once she noticed i was taking her photos she hide into her mum. Its always not easy to shoot someone under the bright sun but with a bit of post production, i think they still look not too bad. Hope you all will like her too.

Had the Church Camp during the last Anzac Day. I didnt do a lot of shooting, as i had seen too many cameras already flying here and there, so i just didnt bother. but during one lunch, I manage to capture some of the faces of the campers. I guess they all look pretty natural to me, as most of them probably didnt know that i was shooting at them. So, yea, Natural is the theme for this series. ENjoy.

Buaya

Buaya, the Malay word for crocodile. In Kuching, if you called a girl Buaya, it simply mean she is like a Dinosaur or Hippopotamus, and please stay away from her as her look got the capability to scare the shit out of you. My home state Sarawak is a state that boast of the famous crocodile legend, Bujang Senang. Some said he is dead, while some believe he is still roaming freely somewhere. This is my first experience shooting crocodile, its a bit challenging as i think i lack of patience under the hot sun... Anyway, share with you my "Buaya".

Chung Leong and Isabel

Chung Leong and Isabel are my friends back to my time in Adelaide. Chung Leong, a good mate in church, a good opponent on basketball field, though we didnt really talk a lot, but it was always a good thing to hang out with him. Isabel, sweet and naive, of course, is a sweet sister to get around in church. Last Dec i had the opportunity to shoot for their wedding. And honestly, i didnt think i did great enough as that was my first time in shooting a proper wedding. However, it is a great learn experience, specially being able to shoot beside Sean, comfort me a lot on my anxiety. Anyway, that was also a special experience, as thats the first wedding photoshoot that i received Red Packet. First earning is always special. Congratulation to Leong, and Isabel.

David and Shirley

David and Shirley is getting married on 26th December 2009. This is the only wedding during my trip back in which i was put in charge as a lead photographer. I was so nervous, as wedding is a once in a life time thing and i didnt really want to spoil the party. i get more nervous when i see my name was actually printed in the bulletin as photographer. i sweated a lot that day, and that could tell how nervous i was. Honestly i am really thankful to David and Shirley for putting their trust to me, and i do hope i did not disappoint their expectation. Apart from being nervous, all the venues were very unfamiliar to me, so meaning i need to adapt myself quick for anything that happened around me. It was a fun experience overall, with Shirley, of course looked gorgeous on the day. Sincerely i wish you two, a happy wedding, and a blessed life ahead...

Knowing Miriam, was dated back to the time in Adelaide. I didn't know her at all before this eventhough i know SMB Methodist students quite well and spent considerable time there during my secondary school time. To me, Miriam is a girl whom you will either like her so much, or you will hate her so much. She got such a distinctive character that sometimes a lot people will think she is hard to deal with. But somehow to me, i think if you spend time to understand her logic, she can be a wonderful and dear friend of you. I miss the time when we both encourage each other to Uni Gym after school. After all, it is such a pleasure to work alone with such a beauty. I am also glad to be able to treat her to her first subway in her life.

First of all, sorry for did not update my photoblog for so long!!! I checked the last post, October 2009, wow, what had I been doing since. It was a hectic end of year for me, busy at work, busy at home, and need to get ready for my very own wedding also. I spent a good 6 weeks at home during Dec and Jan. It was a good holiday, a good wedding season. And thus I got tonnes and tonnes of photo sitting there waiting to be touched but i still struggle to find my time since back.

Bickie is friend of mine back during time in BB. And i eventually met him again in Melbourne. We probably not the best friends of all, but anyway he is a nice friend, nice guy in church, and of course, nice president of CMYF. I think he is someone who got his own thinking, like me, the only difference is he knows how to do it in much milder approach unlike me. I know Cynlin since i cam to Melb. Throughout the years i can see her changing in her attitude, her faith and her way to approach people. During my tenure as CMYF president, she said something that trigger my heart to overhaul the CMYF.

Their wedding is on 2nd January 2010, wedding of the day. I never seen so many photographer and videograhper in a same wedding before. It was a good wedding, and i believe everyone is touched by their testimony. I wish to share to you some of the photos taken during the days. Been to another wedding recently. As i said before, I love wedding, simply because there is no sorrow in a wedding. Flora is probably one of the most beautiful bride i had even seen. And Clement of course, a very nice guy. Did some photoshooting during their wedding uninvited, as usual, it is a bit tricky to take photo in Camberwell church due to her inconsistant in lighting brightness and you need to keep adjusting your setting. Anyway, May God bless this new sweet Couple.

There was once a friend who asked me, "what is your favourite flower?" Honestly i thought this is a strange question as i assume guy shouldn't be linked to flower anyway. However, i aswered, "Tulip", even though i had never seen a tulip then. Knowing of Tulip is all based on the novel. i like the chinese name of Tulip, which give you a moody feel. May be, thats best describe my mood most of the time, and therefore, yeah, i like Tulip.

Cclia is probably one of my best friends in Melbourne. She is just such a girl with such a personality, and of course, on top of that, young and attractive. When i was the CMYF chairperson she is always the one who can keep my head and temper cool and chilled. It is not easy to snap a decent photo of her actually as she would always show the funny face whenever she saw my camera but all in all, here are some which i think still not bad. Cheers.

Been to Tulip Farm in Melbourne recently and being honored to take a few photos for this couple. Lake Mountain

This is the second time i been to a snow mountain in Victoria this year. Overall i think i snapped better picture compared to the time when i was on Mount Buller. Or may be its warmer here this time and thus my brain could function better? Lake Mountain which is adjacent to Marysville, was in total lost when the notorious Victorian Bush fire visited last summer. throughout the mountain you can still see the burnt trees and trunks. However when they are covered with snow, it actually presented an unique Black and White effect, which i quite liked it. i love some of the pictures that i took on the trees there, i think they just tell so much stories than words that i am typing now. Hopefully you would like these pictures.

Lynn is probably the baby girl that i snapped most pictures so far. i simply thought that she is such a cute little baby. It is just pity that she actually seemed to be scared of me so whenever she saw me she would hold back all her expressions. i found this thing somewhere in Geelong, Pretty Amazing as i think it is very eye catching. but then, this place in face is a Tabaret, meaning somewhere you can eat, drink, play pokies machine, buy lotto, buy bets etc... Hidden somwhere off the main road, probably a good tourist spot, if you like hide and seek.

MV Doulos leaving Geelong

This morning at work i got the chance to see MV Doulos off from Geelong...
Doulos horns three times signalling take off. then with the help of two tug boats Doulos was tugged out of the pier
then doulos start turning
and she did a 180 degree turnthen the tug boat in front start guiding the ship by spraying a jet of water into the airand doulos is leaving...leaving...
going far...

so, time for a new dream, dont keep park your ship at the same berth...
